Mitek Corporation Forms Dealer Relations Division
|
|
Mitek Corporation has announced that it has completed the reorganization of its sales and support group by the establishment of a new, customer-centered organization -- the Dealer Relations Division. This internal restructuring is being implemented to increase the quality, precision, and efficiency of dealer service and support at all levels. Central to this new structure is the appointment of six key Mitek veterans to the newly created posts of director of dealer relations: Al Congdon, Joe Gielink, Theresa Hephner, Rob Landsberg, Shawn Spedding, and Kelly J. Wells. The directors of dealer relations will have significant authority in all matters pertaining to dealer service and support, including sales, distribution, customer service, events and promotions, technical and training support, warranty, and credit. The Directors of Dealer Relations will report directly to Loyd Ivey, Mitek CEO, and Steve Favory, Mitek COO. Loyd Ivey states, "As our company grows, it is critically important that we continue to nurture what has made us successful – the years of deep, treasured partnerships with many of the retailers around the world. I have seen so many instances of a company growing, the owner retires to his yacht, and the customers are left wondering what happened. Well, we have grown, but I don’t do yachts, and I never want any of our customers to wonder about anything at Mitek." Ivey continues, "Our directors of dealer relations will be the front line spokespersons for all of our functional groups. They will have all of the resources of the company behind them, backed up by the authority to make on-the-spot decisions to satisfy the customer." A district specialist and a technical support representative will complete the district dealer relations teams. This new structure allows for greater contact with the Mitek dealer base, and more immediate response to their needs. "Earlier this year, we consolidated our sales territories, and that move has been very well received by our dealers", explains Ivey. "The implementation of the dealer relations division structure is the logical evolution of the process of getting closer and closer to our customers, giving us the ability to respond to their needs faster and faster." Ivey continued, "Mitek has historically flourished by being extremely flat from an organizational perspective. This new structure lets us break through any bureaucracy, and puts the key people, the ones who can make things happen, right in front of the customer." Each district dealer relations team will be responsible for all of the Mitek Consumer brands; MTX, Coustic, Xtant, Streetwires, DCM, and Esoteric Audio USA.
