The 2000 Volkswagen Jetta is decked out with the latest and greatest LA sound system to please the ears as well as a performance system to please the eyes and the need for speed."The Lightning Audio Jetta will be used for the remaining car audio shows in 2001, and will focus on the import tuner events in 2001 and 2002," explains Mark Bruno, Lightning's sales manager. "This unique 250+ horsepower, 1.8 liter Jetta displays an insane car audio installation performed by RTTI (Rockford Technical Training Institute) and Steven Yiu in addition to multiple performance items...from 19-inch wheels to a 75 shot Nitrous kit. The import tuner industry is going wild, and they are very similar to their brothers and sisters in the 12Volt market that crave Lightning Audio gear: young, passionate about their rides, and just plain insane."
The Jetta's sound system is a 12Volt gearhead's dream. It includes four 10-inch LA Storm competition woofers, two sets of 6-inch LA convertibles, two S2.300 LA Strike amplifiers, two S1.1000d LA Storm amplifiers, three LA batteries, a Rockford Fosgate RFX9400 source unit, a Rosen 6.5-inch monitor, a Rosen 8.5-inch monitor, a Rosen DVD player, and 100 percent Lightning Audio Strike and Storm interconnect and accessories.
"The entire audio/video system revolves around a custom roll-cage design that begins in the trunk and integrates all amplifiers, subwoofers and video equipment throughout the entire vehicle," explains Bruno. "The Jetta made its debut on the road to the recent NOPI Nationals Motorsports Supershow in Atlanta. To say that it was the center of attention is an understatement. The audio experience and the driving performance combination is bad-ass."
The performance accessories include 19-inch O.Z. Racing Vela Modular wheels, 19-inch Yokohama AVS Sport tires, Nitrous Xpress, AireTek performance air induction system, EVO computer upgrade, EVO Exhaust, Internal Roll cage, Fully adjustable Coil-overs, Conrero Cockpit accessories, Legend Five Dash Kit and custom leather stitched seats.
