Team Rockford Fosgate member Alan Riley of Art’s Appliance and Furniture, Inc. shook some windows and annihilated the standing USAC Legal World Record in the Pro 601+ Division at a recent competition. Riley nailed a 160.1 dB on the industry’s most feared spl meter, the B&K, not just beating the previous record, but burying it by 8.5 dB!"The Rockford Fosgate system we have is incredible," explains Moberly, Mo.’s Riley, who also recently placed first at Loves Park in Rockford Ill. with a 167.2 score and then set a certified score in dB Drag in SS 5-8 with a 166.2, which gives him the second highest certified score in both SS5-8 and SS-9+. "The power flowing from the Fosgate amps to the Fosgate woofers is a beautiful thing. Even we were a little surprised by how much we beat the standing record. This system is scary."
Riley’s 1987 Ford Econoline Conversion Van is a Rockford powerhouse. 18 Power 1000a2 amps give the juice to nine 15-inch Power HX2 woofers, with Connecting Punch wiring as the conduit.
"We were blown away when we heard what Alan hit in Kansas City," explains Rob Wempe, Rockford Fosgate Regional Sales Manager. "We know what his system is capable of, but 8.5 dB better than the standing record?! Unbelievable."
