Rockford Corporation has announced that Rex Whitehead has been promoted to director of Product Planning. In his new position, Whitehead will be in charge of new product development for the company's mobile, professional and home theater divisions and will report directly to Rockford's president and chief executive officer, Gary Suttle. Whitehead joined Rockford in August 2000 as senior product manager after spending the previous 11-1/2 years with Pioneer Electronics of North America."This company has grown tremendously over the past year and I'm very excited to be a part of it all," says Whitehead. "Between the new and exciting products and technologies from Rockford Fosgate and Lightning Audio on the mobile audio side, Hafler on the pro side, the formation of InstallEdge.com (mobile audio) and Fosgate Audionics home theater, and the recent acquisitions of mobile audio leaders' Q-Logic and MB Quart, this company is definitely headed in the right direction. I look forward to continuing to work with the very dedicated group here that will keep us in the forefront of the industry."
According to Suttle, "Rex has quickly become a leader here and has proven himself by delivering a great deal to Rockford during the past year. He has surrounded himself with a very passionate team of product managers and specialists for all of Rockford's brands, and we look forward to a very bright future with Rex at the helm of product planning."
