Joe Cavanaugh To Return To MERA Board Of Trustees

The Mobile Electronics Retailers Association (MERA) recently announced the appointment of Joseph V. Cavanaugh, III, to fill a vacancy on its Board of Trustees. Cavanaugh is the owner and president of Stereo West, Inc., a retailer of car and home electronics based in Omaha, Nebraska. He is credited with being one of the founders of MERA, and has served as president and chairman of the Board. Cavanaugh’s company, Stereo West, recently received the Better Business Bureau’s prestigious Integrity Award, which is presented to businesses that are known for excellence, integrity, teamwork, trust and respect. MERA President Bob Graham states, "We’re very pleased that Joe has agreed to serve on the Board again, particularly because he brings such a great deal of industry experience to our association." MERA’s Board of Trustees is comprised of up to 12 retailers of mobile electronics products, who are members in good standing, each serving a term of three years. The Board of Trustees is charged with conducting and controlling the corporate operations, property and affairs of MERA. MERA is a trade association of companies that specialize in the marketing of mobile electronics and other after-market automotive products. The not-for profit association was founded in 1996, and has in excess of 600 member companies.
