Despite Injury To Event Coordinator, Georgia Motor Fest Will Proceed As Scheduled

SLAPshow.com Event Management, the largest IASCA authorized event coordination company, announced that its vice president of marketing and coordinator of the Georgia Motor Fest, Terry Miller, was injured in a freak home project accident Wednesday evening. Miller suffered a partially severed finger and will have surgery in Macon to repair the damage. Though in extreme pain, Miller struggled Thursday to put an emergency plan in place to make sure the 6th Annual Georgia Motor Fest will proceed as scheduled. The event takes place August 25 & 26, 2001 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, Georgia. The event features several different event formats including the SLAP Custom Car & Truck Show, and IASCA-Sanctioned Triple-Point Regional Sound Quality and IdBL event, and a Southeastern Divisional SCCA SOLO II Autocross race. Calvin Louie and Mike Galligan, both veteran event coordinators with SLAPshow.com, will take on duties as co-event coordinators for the Georgia Motor Fest. Louie, served as Head Judge for last year’s event as well as at the 2000 IASCA Finals. Phil Langley will serve as Head Judge for the 2001 GMF event, with Stewart Freyberger and Nick Scott serving as Install and Sound Quality head judges respectively.
