A group of international partners has come together to form Red Mountain Audio, a new company headquartered in Arizona whose initial purpose will be the exclusive North American distribution of Audison car audio. American mobile electronics veteran, Kevin Campbell, has been appointed managing general partner of Red Mountain Audio. "The Company will be focused from the beginning on developing long-term relationships with a limited group of independent retail specialists, and Audison will be the anchor of our distribution," Campbell states.Located in suburban Phoenix, Red Mountain Audio will provide dealers with a fully developed line of amplifiers, signal processors, loudspeakers and accessories designed and manufactured by Audison, founded in 1979 by parent company Elettromedia, in Potenza Picena, Italy. "The American car audio market is extremely competitive and difficult to penetrate especially under current conditions," states Campbell. "Nevertheless, America has consistently proven to be the most rewarding to those brand names that can deliver performance and quality. Audison has the engineering foundation to meet the demands of the American market," says Campbell. "With the development of the VRx line of products last year, and now the creation of the very competitive and cutting-edge LRx line,(which includes the 6.SR, a six-channel surround sound design), Audison is positioned to offer the specialists a solid mix of products that are refreshingly different, powerful and reliable in the tradition of fine European craftsmanship. Audison amplifiers have the features, power and look to literally capture the eye of the performance audio enthusiast," says Campbell.
Red Mountain Audio will also introduce a full line of amps and loudspeakers from Audison called Hertz. The Hertz line has been "a major hit in Europe," states Campbell, and consists of several amplifier designs including multi-channel and dual mono power amps. Hertz component separates, systems, coaxials, subwoofers, and bandpass boxes are available, and the line includes a group of drivers targeted for tight spots called "Space." Although the goal was the development of drivers capable of install in factory locations, the materials chosen assure performance not typical of factory upgrades.
Campbell hinted Red Mountain would follow the Audison intro with the debut of another respected name in high-performance audio later this summer, "but for now, the focus is strictly and totally on Audison", says Campbell. "We intend to deliver a refreshingly different brand of product to the retail specialist, backed with an uncommon level of personal support. Campbell went on to state, "Red Mountain Audio is prepared to make a permanent commitment to the retail specialist. Our products are cutting-edge, but our philosophy of business is decidedly old-fashioned." Campbell emphasized the Company will always be "people doing business with people." The Company will employ independent sales representatives to call on and support Audison dealers.
