The new Official IASCA Sound Quality Competition CD includes over 30 technical and music tracks carefully selected or created to evaluate the quality of reproduction of a car audio system. In addition to serving as the official judging software, the disc is a valuable setup tool for any auto sound enthusiast.
A wide variety of musical tracks on the disc have been supplied by Sheffield Lab, Telarc International, Clarity Recordings and Hoodwink Records. Musical genres represented include pop/rock, big-band jazz, acoustic jazz trio, classical (choral and instrumental), latin and techno.
In addition, the CD features a section for evaluation of RTA (real time analysis) with pink noise which is used to determine the frequency response of the system on the basis of smooth band-to-band transitions.
