The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) is accepting nominations from its members, press and other industry professionals for the class of 2001 inductees into the Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame, in its second year of existence, will recognize the contributions of individuals and commence with a reception at the 2001 International CES on January 8 in the Las Vegas Convention Center. The 2001 International CES - your source for workstyle and lifestyle technologies will be held January 6-9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.The inaugural class of 2000 included 50 early consumer technology pioneers, founders and inventors. For 2001, a panel of judges comprised of CEA members, media and other industry professionals will select the final inductees whose names will be announced prior to the show. Pictorial profiles of the nominees will be showcased in various locations throughout CES venues and press rooms. CEA also will publish a recognition book with brief profiles that will include congratulatory ads to the inductees.

Their ideas have directly impacted consumer electronics technology and are responsible for enhancing consumers' workstyles and lifestyles.
