Scott Coons recently began his position as Xtant technical resource specialist. He directs the customer service and technical support team for Xtant in a variety of innovative ways. Coons communicates with customers, dealers, and sales representatives to address their questions and ideas. In turn, he relays customers’ product ideas to Xtant’s product development department.

Coons has been immersed in the audio industry for 13 years. His taste of the mobile audio world commenced when he began upgrading his car audio system. His hobby grew into an obsession, which led to a career in mobile audio.

Coons initially ventured into the mobile audio world as an installer at a Phoenix, Arizona area car audio dealer. While with this dealer, Coons transitioned into the role of retail manager, selling Xtant products. Coons also worked for another Phoenix-based car audio manufacturer as a technical support specialist. In this capacity, he designed systems, resolved product difficulties and designed products. Finally, Coons worked for another area car audio manufacturer, where he was a technical services specialist, and later a repair manager.

"I like the camaraderie of the people in Xtant," explains Coons. "The Xtant products are well-designed and well-built. I like what they stand for — They have a reputation for ‘Xcellence’ in the competition arena."

Coons is enthusiastic about lending his talents to Xtant and watching the company continue to evolve and achieve new heights in product design.

"I would like to work with Xtant to take it to the next level as far as products and service to dealers, following the course of what technology allows us to do," he adds.
