Twice As Nice…Rockford Fosgate Hits the Surf!!
If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it, right? Well, that is Rockford Fosgate’s philosophy when it came to its two-time, award-winning Supercharged 2001 Nissan Frontier demo vehicle. Rockford Technical Training Institute (RTTI) recently rolled out its second Nissan Frontier demo vehicle onto the street, or should we say onto the beach. With another ear numbing system, one that has a rated power of 3,000 watts, with actual power of more than 4,500 watts, this demo vehicle will spend a majority of its time on the U.S. West Coast, thus the vehicle’s surf theme.

The original Frontier demo vehicle won two awards for Best of Show at CES (including an overwhelming tiebreaker as voted on by the general public) and then received unbelievable attention at the Chicago and New York Auto Shows.

"Everyone wanted the Frontier, but it can’t be in two places at once so we created a twin sister, one with the same incredible system but a bit of a different look…more suited for the beach," explains RTTI’s Bryan Schmitt, the vehicle’s senior designer/fabricator. "We obviously knew we had a winner. Since the vehicle is slated to spend most of its time away from its Arizona home and headed east, we created a second demo vehicle that nearly mirrors the first, but with a couple cosmetic changes, so it can make its home-away-from-home on the West Coast."

The new Nissan truck is a hotbed of Rockford’s 2001 product line, including two Power 500.2 and two Power bd1000.1 digital amplifiers, six HE2 dual voice coil 10-inch woofers, and two f’nQ 6-inch Fanatic Component Systems. The system has rated power of 3,000 watts, with actual power of more than 4,500 watts. This baby can hammer 145dB at idle.
