JBL Goes "Full Throttle" With Program To Support Dealers And Consumers
JBL Mobile Systems announces its Full Throttle program for dealers and consumers. Designed to support the new GTi subwoofer line, which was introduced at the 2001 Consumer Electronics Show, JBL's Full Throttle program raises the brand's level of dealer support. Full Throttle gives dealers direct access to JBL's technical and marketing departments, providing them with the tools and support they need to successfully promote and sell the GTi line. The program also supports consumers: the brand's Web site, www.jbl.com, has technical and installation information, and customers can email questions to JBL directly.

"Manufacturers often put a great deal of energy into their products, but then leave their retailers to fend for themselves," states Christopher M. Dragon, director of Brand Marketing, JBL Mobile Systems. "JBL's GTi product line was three years in the making, so we created the Full Throttle program to properly support a product of its caliber. With this unprecedented level of dealer - and customer - support, we are providing our retailers with extensive access to JBL's resources and all the tools they need to ensure both their success and that of the GTi line."

The program helps both dealers and consumers through the GTi section of the JBL Web site. The Full Throttle/GTi section contains extensive information on installation and wiring options, applications, product specifications and the Differential Drive Design technology that the GTi series features. The site also features consumers' GTi installations, extensive technical information, direct email access to JBL's technical experts and a Full Throttle dealer locator, which directs consumers to the nearest GTi retail outlet.

Full Throttle dealers also have a toll-free number that connects them with Andy Wehmeyer, JBL's product marketing manager. A key player in developing the GTi product line, Wehmeyer is well-versed and at-the-ready in helping dealers maximize the product's potential for both display and installation purposes

JBL is further supporting Full Throttle dealers through marketing efforts and special dealer programs. The brand promotes dealer events through the schedule posted on the web site, and JBL's mobile tour vehicles participate at dealer events as available, helping drive additional traffic to the brand's retailers. JBL is also providing pre-paid freight for orders of any size and a special demo program for all Full Throttle Dealers.

Full Throttle also supports consumers who use GTi products with vehicles featured monthly on the JBL web site. This opportunity is especially desirable for sound off competitors, as their vehicles will garner additional exposure. Once a consumer's installation is featured, he will receive a limited edition Full Throttle polo shirt and vehicle graphics. Sound off teams that place in the IASCA, USAC and dB Drag Race finals also will be awarded prizes and given GTi Full Throttle logos for their vehicles.
