New USAC Rules Books Now Available
The United States Autosound Competition (USAC) has announced that the new rules booklets for 2001 are now available.

The new Sound Pressure Level (SPL) rules book includes everything an SPL competitor needs to know. It also has a section on the new dB5 competition format. The new Sound Quality (SQ) rules book explains all the most recent rules modifications, including the new rules regarding legal SPL records.

"Knowing and understanding competition rules can be a tremendous advantage when you're preparing for a sound-off event," explains USAC President Ralph Randall. "Lots of competitors, especially newcomers, make the mistake of not reading the rules carefully and they lose points for small rules infractions. Those lost points often make the difference between finishing first or way down in the pack."

Each USAC rules book costs $15 for non-members and $10 for members. New USAC members receive a rules book as part of their $35 membership fee. You must specify which rules book you prefer.

To order a copy or copies, call USAC at 1-601-825-4400 or visit the USAC Web site at www.soundoff.org.
