The all-new KICKER DX-series Class D mono subwoofer amplifiers share a great many features with KICKER’s popular ZR, ZX, and XS amps, plus some special extras designed specifically for powering subwoofers. High-efficiency Class D power supplies let the DX amps operate at 70-80 percent efficiency across the entire power range; this compares to the 50-60 percent efficiency at full power – and an even lower 30 percent at one-fourth power - found in standard amps. Higher efficiency equates to more usable power at the subwoofers.
Other features include a Module Docking Port loaded with KICKER’s SWX 24dB/octave active electronic subwoofer crossover module, a switchable subsonic filter with ultra-steep 24dB/octave cutoff at 25Hz, and a remote gain controller for setting the amp’s gain from the dash. The DX700 is rated at 350 watts into 4 Ohms and 700 into 2 Ohms; the DX350 makes 175 watts into 4 Ohms and 350 into 2 Ohms.
