Auto Radio (a local Memphis car stereo chain) and USAC (United States Autosound Competition) have reached an agreement for four shows, including a regional event to take place in the Memphis, TN area during the 2000 competition season. There will be two single-point events in April and June, followed by a regional event at the Memphis International Agricenter on July 15–16. This regional event replaces the Dixie regional of past seasons. The Memphis regional will feature USAC competition, as well as a huge on-site sale and on-site installation. Phoenix Gold, Boston Acoustics, MB Quart, and Sony are just a few of the manufacturers that will be in attendance.
A final double-point event will take place in Memphis in mid-September.
"We chose to partner with USAC because we know that they have a very strong presence in the industry," says Alen Lindgren of Auto Radio. "Memphis has faded from the competition scene in the past few years, but we feel that there are enormous opportunities for growth in a city of its size."
