With the recent introduction of the company's new amplifier line, JL Audio is poised to expand a great deal over the next several years. To effectively manage this growth, the company has created a new electronics division and has appointed Jeff Scoon to the position of vice president — Electronics Division. Scoon joined the company effective March 1, 2000, and will be responsible for electronics development, production, and service.According to Andy Oxenhorn, president of JL Audio, "Jeff has the skills, creativity, and experience to lead JL Audio into its new role as an electronics powerhouse. No one is better suited to head up this new division…We're proud to welcome him on board."
Scoon's autosound career began with amplifier manufacturer Precision Power in the late 1980s. He went on to found Xtant Technologies in 1994, which was acquired by the Mitek Group in 1997. He has also served two terms as president of the International Auto Sound Challenge Association.
