Clifford Electronics, Inc. has announced the closing of the offices of its sister company Avital Technologies, Inc., located in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. The sales, marketing, and administrative functions for the Avital brand will be moved to Clifford Electronics’ headquarters in Chatsworth, California. In making the announcement, William Franklin, who recently replaced Alex Wijnen as the president of Clifford Electronics, states, "Our emphasis on sales and dealer support, customer service, manufacturing, and new product development has helped Clifford to compete more aggressively in the marketplace. Alex instilled many new programs and directions for Clifford, and he combined the operations of the different divisions to enhance the company’s efficiency. We will continue in this direction."
"Alex and Alden," continues Franklin, "have left their marks on this company, and we are grateful for all their many contributions. With Alex’s decision to return to private consulting and Alden’s choice to remain in the Midwest, Clifford is losing knowledgeable people. Clifford salutes their contributions and wishes every success in their new directions."
Brian Power and Tim Flusche will now share responsibility for national domestic aftermarket sales, and receive new titles along with their new responsibilities. Tom Mitchell, who has directed the new business development efforts, will now be head of marketing and marketing services.
