Long Island's Largest Car Stereo Retailer Joins Boomer McLoud Franchise System
|
|
Boomer McLoud, the largest chain of independently-owned car audio stores, is coming to New York. GLM Security and Sound, a four-store operation based on Long Island, has signed an agreement to become a master franchise and area developer for Boomer McLoud in the New York area. As a master franchise, GLM will enlist and develop other independent car stereo retailers in Long Island, New York City, and Westchester County in the Boomer chain. The four Long Island stores will now be known as Boomer McLoud at GLM Security and Sound. "The Boomer McLoud concept provides a great opportunity for independent retailers," says Gary Tabackman, president of GLM. "Joining with Boomer will allow us to compete successfully with the mass merchant superstores, while maintaining our independence and our business focus. Boomer McLoud, a division of Connecticut-based InStereo, Inc., is a chain of 60 car stereo retail stores in five states, almost all independently owned. The chain was started with a single store in 1996. For more details, call Boomer McLoud at 860-632-4874.
