GOTTA HAVE IT
Sun-Gard Window Film

How many times have you seen a car with a bad tint job? You know the ones — they look like someone applied magic-marker-colored saran wrap to their windows — the ones that are pealing, bubbling, or misfit over the rear-defroster lines. While a tinted vehicle is cool, it’s important to get it tinted right. There are a few things that are worse than a bad tint job.

Tinting your car correctly requires that you pay the same attention to detail that you do to other upgrades you make to your ride. Have a plan. Research your options. Consider various styles and brands, and, if you don’t know how to properly tint your vehicle, make sure that you get the work done by a professional.

One brand that you should consider for your window tinting needs is Sun-Gard. This window film is a thin layer of dyed or metallized polyester material that’s applied to the inside of your vehicle’s windows. By using a heat-shrinking process, most curved glass can have tint applied to it in one piece. A scratch-resistant coating on the inside surface allows you to clean the windows normally and keep the film in good shape as you roll your windows up and down. Window film also blocks up to 99 percent of UV rays to keep you safe.

The Sun-Gard product line includes a wide variety of shades and colors to choose from, so you’re sure to find the right match for your vehicle. Some of Sun-Gard’s most popular films include Desert, Nighthawk, and Shadow.

There are many benefits to tinting your windows. Your vehicle will look better, feel cooler in the summer time, your interior won’t fade as fast, and people won’t be able to see what’s going on inside your car. Sun-Gard Window Film is also marketed as a theft deterrent. Film on the side and rear window makes it difficult for thieves to see all the equipment inside your car, making them less likely to break in, the company says.
