Vision Entertainment teams up with Number One Parts, Inc. (NOPI) to bring the 2005 XM Satellite Radio Hot Import Nights (HIN) tour to the Georgia International Convention Center, May 28.
For the Atlanta show, NOPI will bring their tricked-out showcars and the official Team NOPI rig selling various NOPI parts and apparel. The NOPI models will be on hand and will participate in the NOPI swimsuit competition, which is open to show attendees. Beginning at 5 p.m. and ending at midnight, HIN costs $25 for general admission and $55 to enter the car competition.
"Hot Import Nights and NOPI are both known for awesome lifestyle events and customized cars on display," said Michael Meyers, president of NOPI. "Being an Atlanta-based company, we’re extremely excited to team up with Hot Import Nights for this event in our back yard."
In March, the 2005 HIN season kicked off in Los Angeles, breaking all previous records for attendance, number of cars displayed, variety of live musical acts, number of exhibitors and sponsors as well as number of model and celebrity appearances. . Celebrity attendees in Los Angeles ranged from Brooke Burke, the sexy host of several E! Entertainment Television shows and recent Stuff cover girl, to hip-hop artist and reality show star of "The Surreal Life," Flava Flav. Several members of the musical group the Black Eyed Peas also attended.
In addition to the car show, HIN entertainment includes Moonshine Record’s DJ MISS LISA performing live on the Mazda Electronic Music Stage with a procession from RAVI Drums, and more than 20 go-go dancers performing to the various sets of today’s electronic music hits. The Mazda stage also hosts XM Radio’s live set. Live on the Pepsi Stage, host DJ Lady Tribe spins hip-hop music while accompanied by local DJs. Also performing are local and national artists from the urban community, including dance troupe showcases, DJ performances and b-boy battles.
In select markets, including Atlanta, HIN attendees can enjoy not only the live entertainment, but also test their video gaming skills at GameRiot, an intense competition where gaming enthusiasts win cash prizes, and, at certain stops, go head-to-head against some of the best professional gamers in the world. Games include new and unreleased console and PC video game titles like Area 51, Unreal Championship2; The Liandri Conflict from Midway and Star Wars Republic Commando from LucasArts.
